Medical Laboratory Science Journal (MedLab) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to advancing medical laboratory science, diagnostic medicine, and laboratory professional practice. Published by Kadewa Bakti Cendekia, MedLab provides a scholarly platform for medical laboratory scientists, researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to disseminate high-quality research and evidence-based innovations that contribute to excellence in laboratory medicine and healthcare.
The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, conceptual papers, and case studies. Its scope covers, but is not limited to:
MedLab welcomes interdisciplinary and evidence-based perspectives that contribute to advancing innovation, quality, and excellence in medical laboratory science, diagnostic medicine, and laboratory professional practice.
MedLab follows a gold open-access policy, making all articles freely available without subscription barriers. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Currently, MedLab does not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs).
MedLab applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by evaluation by at least two independent reviewers. The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
MedLab ensures the long-term accessibility and preservation of published content through the LOCKSS system and continuously develops its digital preservation infrastructure.
MedLab is committed to enhancing the visibility, accessibility, and discoverability of published research through reputable indexing and abstracting services.
MedLab is published and managed by Kadewa Bakti Cendekia, an academic publisher dedicated to advancing scholarly communication and supporting the dissemination of high-quality research in medical laboratory science, biomedical sciences, and health sciences. The journal operates with full editorial independence.
