Abstract

Older adults in social care facilities face various physical, psychological, social, and spiritual challenges. These conditions require a comprehensive health promotion approach to support their quality of life and well-being. This community service initiative aims to improve the well-being of older adults through a holistic health promotion program at the Tresna Werdha Wana Sraya Social Care Facility in Denpasar, Bali. The program involved older adults who were still able to perform independent activities. The program phases included health screenings, complementary therapies, group activity therapy, and an evaluation based on participant engagement and the achievement of program objectives. The program was carried out as planned with the active participation of the older adults throughout the entire series of activities. The results showed that participants enthusiastically and cooperatively took part in health screenings, complementary therapies, and group activity therapies, enabling all interventions to be carried out as targeted. This approach provided a positive, empowering experience for older adults and strengthened collaboration between the higher education institution and its partners in supporting sustainable health services. The program demonstrated that a holistic approach has the potential to serve as a practical empowerment strategy to support the well-being of older adults in social service institutions.
