Author Support Services (ASS)

Community Empowerment and Learning Journal (CELJ) is dedicated to supporting authors in preparing scientifically rigorous and well-structured manuscripts. We offer optional professional services to help authors meet academic publishing standards. These services are independent of the editorial and peer review processes and are offered transparently to maintain ethical integrity.

Types of Services Offered

  1. Initial Manuscript Review (Pre-submission Assessment)
    • Preliminary evaluation of manuscript structure, logic, and overall readiness.
    • This includes feedback on the abstract, title, IMRaD elements, and reference formatting.
    • Note: This is not equivalent to peer review.
  2. Language Editing (English Proofreading and Editing)
    • Correction of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and language usage issues.
    • Enhancement of clarity, academic tone, and manuscript readability.
  3. Translation Services (Indonesian to English)
    • Academic-level translation of manuscripts from Bahasa Indonesia to English.
    • Includes post-translation language polishing.
  4. Plagiarism Screening Service
    • Similarity check using Turnitin with detailed reports and citation advice.
  5. Statistical Analysis Support
    • Consultation on statistical approach, data analysis, and result interpretation.
    • Support is available for SPSS, SmartPLS, R, or Python tools.
  6. Reference Formatting (APA 7th or Vancouver Style)
    • Adjustment and verification of in-text citations and references to comply with journal standards.
    • Assistance with consistency and bibliographic accuracy.
  7. Figure, Table, and Equation Formatting
    • Formatting and resolution enhancement of figures and tables (≥300 dpi).
    • Layout standardization in line with CELJ design policy.
  8. Cover Letter Assistance
    • Guidance in drafting a professional and concise cover letter for journal submission.

  • Editorial board and peer reviewers are blinded to the use of these services.
  • Authors may choose to use alternative providers or manage improvements themselves.
  • All services follow ethical standards under COPE principles.
